Kearney Melia Barker
Kearney Melia Communications was founded in 1994 to service local and national public relations and press liaison needs for companies, institutions, and organisations. The company rebranded in 2018 as Kearney Melia Barker (KMB) Communications, and is jointly managed by Jean Kearney and Louise Barker, with several associates and part-time staff members.
A veteran of the Public Relations Industry, Jean brings to clients more than 30 years’ experience, with particular knowledge and experience in the arts sector.
Louise joined Kearney Melia in 2015 and signed as a partner in 2018. With 15+ years marketing experience, digital marketing, and experience in a range of roles in the arts industry from stage management to artist liaison, graphic design to artist management, Louise brings to clients expertise from diverse industry and professional backgrounds. Her experience in the music industry extends internationally to working in various roles for PEOPLE festival in Berlin (2018,) Eaux Claires festival, Wisconsin, USA (2018), Sounds from a Safe Harbour, Cork, and End of the Road festival, UK, (2022, 2023).
Louise is also co-director of Islander Music Mgmt.
